i had been doing some thinking ....
If One of the TEN COMMANDMENTS state "Thou shall not kill"
Then why do we kill animals for our daily food , when simply , we could substitute with vegetables and fruits?
AREN'T WE ALL SINNERS NOW ? HUH HUH !
shame on us all!
How would you feel if you were a chicken and the next thing you know you hear some fat butcher sharpening their knives, getting ready to chop you to pieces?? hmmmm. I guess it's hard to try to back away from that crispy kentucky fried chicken hm??
During my first week in Burma, my friends brought me out to one of my friend's farm.. and while i was sitting down along with my other friends, doing the normal thing and chat - we heard screeches - a loud cry from chicken(s) soon to be chopped up for our lunchhh. The cries were unbearableeeeeeee and horrendous. just an hour later, i realised myself munching away on how tasty and meattty the fried chicken was.
looking baccck, i still hear them crying . =(
Maybe the last place you would want to go to is the farm..... unless you want to witness them die and cryyy?!
I've questioned some people about what they thought about it too. One of them was my grandaunty.
Amy: Aunty, dont you think we're sinners becos we kill animals? and when we die, we might see these animals coming back to get us because we took their lives.
Aunty: So we should just eat veges lor, so when we die, we'll just see vegetables !
LOOKING back, i should've watched when they butchered it, instead of just listening to the horrendous sound of them crying and trying to fight for their lives.
Maybe witnessing them die with my very own eyes together with their cries would've made me make up my mind to change into a vegetarians.

and look at the guests, smiling away and applausing the excellent chef, Jamie Oliver who is going to cook them chicken for the night when they just witnessed the atrocity of "HOW TO KILL A CHICKEN"

How do you know you're giving the chicken a great life when you JUST killed it ?
How's that ever a respectful thing ?
